Bay Wood Products is proud to be a friend of the environment.  Instead of using potentially hazardous chemicals, the company heat-treats its lumber to meet ISPM-15 export regulations.  The manufacturer also has a recycling program in place.  Bay Wood Products generates an average of 25 tons of sawdust and splintered lumber each day.  The wood waste is turned over to plants that recycle it for use as bio-fuel.

To remain in compliance with ISPM-15 guidelines, Bay Wood Products heat-treats 70 percent of its pallets to prevent pest infestation.  The treatment, required for international shipping, includes heating the wood instead of using chemicals that could harm the environment and put employees at risk. The company has two cost-effective heat-treating chambers on site.
