Chris Patillo, Facility Manager

As the Facility Manager at Bay Wood Products, Inc., Chris Patillo strives daily to meet the needs of customers by ensuring that all equipment is running at peak performance so orders can be completed safely and on time.

He joined the leadership team at the Robertsdale, Ala.-based wooden pallet and container manufacturer in March 2016. Chris also has been tasked with establishing and building a preventive maintenance program for equipment at the 130-employee operation.

Earlier in his career, Chris served as chief engineer and then was promoted to operations manager with ALSCO. He said the opportunity to make a positive impact at a well-established manufacturing business drew him to the position. “I really enjoy working for and with the people of Bay Wood,” he said. “Everyone is very knowledgeable and not afraid to get their hands dirty, when needed, and work hard to achieve the same goal.”

The open-door policy at Bay Wood Products, he said, has made communicating with staff and leadership a productive process. “Our management team is down-to-earth and believe in face-to-face contact,” Chris said. “The owner is just a few steps away and everyone's opinion matters. Those two things make for a great work environment.”

A graduate of George Stone Technical College, Chris holds a journeymen electrical license. He and his wife, Jessica, have two children, Peyton and Parker. They live in Cantonment, Fla. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and building furniture.
